Local Moving
In Western Massachusetts there are dozens of local moving companies but that does not mean all moving companies are made the same. When looking for reputable and trust worthy local moving services, there are a few things you should pay attention too:
- Ask a friend. Chances are a friend or a friend of a friend has used a moving company and had a positive experience.
- Look for a Mover who is part of the Massachusetts Movers Association (Statewide Association for Movers).
- Find a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited Business.
- This is going to sound crazy, but make sure the company is ACTULLY located in Western Massachusetts. A lot of companies call themselves local movers and can be found online but are actually located far away.

Long Distance Moving
There are a lot of movers who consider themselves Interstate movers but the reality is, they only travel to a handful of states. When looking for Long Distance Moving Services, there are a few things you should pay attention too:
- Make sure the mover is part of the Moving and Storage Conference (National Association of Moving Companies).
- Check their DOT number to make sure it is still active. We partner with Wheaton World Wide Moving and that gives us the authority to travel to all 48 continental states!
- Make sure the moving company comes in person to see everything you plan on move. A lot of companies will try and give you a number over the phone. Don’t trust it. They will give you a too good to be true number and guess what, its too good to be true.
- Ask your Realtor for recommendations.
